The Development

  • Work began at Battersea Reach in 2003.
  • Battersea Reach is a 5.4 ha site with planning consent for 1,350 residential units, 330 of which are affordable/social rent.
  • As of December 2015, 1056 homes have been delivered. 
  • 1,005 car parking spaces are to be provided once the development is complete.
  • Residential facilities include an Estate Management Office and Concierge, Fitness Gym and Business Centre.
  • There are 8.5 acres of public space at Battersea Reach, 58% of which are publicly accessible including a 300m riverside walk.
  • The Development includes 108,000 sqft of commercial space.

Battersea Reach is a former gin distillery on the bank of the River Thames. In 1996 the industrial buildings were demolished and the 13 acre site was left vacant until St George acquired the site in 2002.

St George commenced construction under the existing planning permission and embarked on a new comprehensive master plan to create better linkages between Wandsworth town centre and the river.

902 homes have been delivered at Battersea Reach so far. Over the next 2.5 years, Battersea Reach will deliver a further 310 homes (Quarter House, Trafalgar House, The Pinnacle and Meridian and Nautical House) along with commercial spaces.
